Regulation of the I Bogusław Kaczyński's
International Accordion Competition in Biała Podlaska
- The administator of the I Bogusław Kaczyński's International Accordion Competition in Biała Podlaska are: Fryderyk Chopin's Music School Complex in Biała Podlaska, "ORFEO" Foundation, Biała Podlaska City President.
- The Competition covers the following countries: Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Estonia and Slovakia. It's adressed to the Secondary (II degree) Music Schools' students and Music Academy's students. The aim of the competition is promoting accordion music, accordion performance art and artistic practise of youth.
- The competition will take place on the 16-17th June 2023 in the following categories:
Soloists:
- Cat. I - students attending I-II classes of secondary music schools - duration of the programme max. 7 minutes
- Cat. II - students attending III-IV classes of secondary music schools - duration of the programme max. 10 minutes
- Cat. III - students attending V-VI classes of secondary music schools - duration of the programme max. 10 minutes
- Cat. IV - students of higher education institutions (universities) - duration of the programme max. 12 minutes
Chamber esembles:
- Cat. A - homogeneous duos and heterogeneous duos from secondary music schools - duration of the programme max. 10 minutes
- Cat. B - free esembles max. 5 performers (trio, quartet, quintet) from seconary music schools, where accordion plays the main role - duration of the programme max. 10 minutes
- Cat. C - homogeneous duos and heterogeneous duos from higher education institutions - duration of the programme max. 10 minutes
- Cat. D - free esembles max. 5 performers (trio, quartet, quintet), from higher education institutions, where accordion plays the main role - duration of the programme max. 12 minutes
- In I-IV categories there is a free program of a different character in terms of style and form, including one original piece by a Polish composer (an independent work or part of a cyclical work).
- In A, B, C and D categories there is a free program including the main role of the accordion. Participation of the leading teacher is prohibited.
- The order of performances will be announced by the organizers by drawing lots.
- The auditions of the participants will be evaluated by the Jury:

The Artistic Committee will evaluate the participants on a scale from 1 to 25. The decisions of the Jury are final.
- The winners of the competition will receive winners' diplomas and financial prizes, which will be decided by the Jury.
Grand Prix - 5000 złotych
I place - 1500 złotych
II place - 1000 złotych
III place - 700 złotych.
All participants will receive participation certificates.
The laureates are obliged to participate in the laureates' concert.
